The Engineers at BME Associates are celebrating National Engineer’s Week! Established by the National Society of Professional Engineers, Engineers Week (EWeek) is dedicated to celebrating engineers’ positive contributions to quality of life and to promote careers in engineering.
Working with developers, municipal officials and regulatory agencies to create, design and obtain approvals for our clients’ projects is an exciting part of being a civil engineer.
Our engineers are currently working on a variety of projects including large residential projects, commercial developments, solar farm work, office park design, golf course drainage planning and more. Every project presents a different set of challenges and BME’s engineers thrive on working out creative and innovative solutions.
Anyone in this field can tell you that the process can be challenging, and there is never a dull moment, but when you take a step back and see how far you’ve come on a project, it’s truly rewarding.
Take a look at one of our recent projects in the Town of Perinton. Parker Place is a multi-family residential community developed along Nine Mile Point Road. Starting with the consolidation of two different parcels, to working through conceptual site plans, to collaborating as a team, then designing the site with various features and amenities, obtaining necessary approvals, watching the buildings go up and finally, we see families moving in. This project provides needed residential options while meeting some of the goals of the Towns Comprehensive Plan.
We truly enjoy what we do, and we celebrate all the engineers this week that never quit until the job is done, or a challenge is overcome.
