Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and prioritization of work tasks within assigned project group to meet defined deadlines;
- Coordination of information flow between other internal work groups to affect timely and efficient completion of project tasks as assigned by the Project Manager;
- Responsible for execution of engineering and design in all conventional aspects of the subject matter;
- Plans and conducts work requiring independent judgement and evaluation;
- Directs basic and performs complex Civil 3D drafting;
- Directs basic designs and calculations, such as grades and utility locations;
- Performs complex designs and calculations;
- Directs quantity takeoffs and basic construction cost estimates;
- Assists in preparation of project specifications and project documentation;
- Performs basic and complex site observations and drawing reviews;
- Directs and performs project base data collection;
- Will check drawings for quality assurance purposes and governing agency requirements;
- Maintains excellent communications and relations with government agency personnel;
- Maintains client relations; and
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education and/or experience:
4 year degree in civil engineering or equivalent is required; 5 years’ experience in multiple aspects of civil engineering design; Civil 3D knowledge essential; Professional Engineer licensure or eligibility desired.

Education and / or experience:
4 year degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience / training in civil engineering including grading, drainage and infrastructure design; CAD and Civil 3D knowledge essential; eligibility to take PE or FE examination desired.
The primary responsibilities of the field Surveyor as a member of the field crew are focused on outside activities, including detailed project record keeping and utilizing proper field surveying methods and techniques.
A representative list of the essential functions and responsibilities for the position includes the following:
Field:
- Participate in daily tasks of survey crew;
- Compute right-of-way and property lines;
- Research property records;
- Accurately measures and records notes and sketches of work performed;
- Collect and prepare data files for property plats and topographical maps;
- Routine maintenance and calibrations of field equipment; and
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education and / or experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required, Associates degree preferred; 2 year field experience preferred; basic CAD skills; general computer literacy. For office Surveyor, more advanced CAD and computer skills are required.
The Survey Crew Chief undertake all of the outlined activities and functions of a survey, with the added responsibilities of coordination with engineering groups and overall responsibility for field work of their specific survey crew.
A representative list of the essential functions and responsibilities for the position includes the following:
- Supervise, direct and participate in daily tasks of survey crew;
- Compute right-of-way and property lines;
- Research property records;
- Verify land ownership for plans and plats according to public records;
- Collect and prepare data files for property plats and topographical maps;
- Accurately measures and records notes and sketches of work performed;
- In-office responsibilities include compilation and tabulation of field data;
- Coordination and communication with engineering groups pertaining to field requirements and data;
- Continues training in current survey technology and techniques;
- Responsible for Quality Assurance of all work performed by survey field crew; and
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Education and / or experience:
Associates degree or higher preferred; 5-6 years field experience; basic CAD skills; general computer literacy.
A representative list of the essential functions and responsibilities for the position includes the following:
- Responsible for preparation of Land Planning and Site Planning design for residential, commercial, institutional and recreational uses;
- Prepares feasibility and property investigation studies and performs site reconnaissance;
- Prepares conceptual development plans and master site plans for land use;
- Prepares various development applications to include rezoning, special use permits, concept, site plans and variances, etc.; and
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5 to 10 years of professional experience in Land Planning and/or Landscape Architecture;
- Employment history in a design-driven studio environment;
- Experience in contributing to collaborative project teams;
- Demonstrated site and land planning design and technical skills;
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp and MS Office; and
- Professional licensure preferred but not required.
The Sr. Environmental Specialist is responsible to conduct and develop environmental investigations, reports, and field analysis for project sites. Environmental Services include wetland delineations, permitting, mitigation, design, and monitoring. Stream restoration design, endangered species surveys and assessments, natural resource management/site investigations, as well as other similarly related environmental tasks.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementation of site environmental investigations;
- Independent drafting of technical reports and documents;
- Independent preparation and administration of public agency permits;
- Assists with the development and monitoring of project budgets;
- Maintains excellent communications and relations with both the private sector and government agency personnel;
- Presentation of environmental reports and findings to clients and regulatory agencies;
- Performs CADD drafting; and
- Review drawings for quality assurance purposes.
Sr. Environmental Specialist will be trained to become the Environmental Department Manager.
Education and/or experience:
Minimum 2 year degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering or equivalent is required; other appropriate environmental certifications are desirable, 4 or more years combined experience in environmental investigation, field analysis, report writing, and government agency coordination; CADD experience required.
