The North Face

The North Face store, built as part of High Point Historic Retail development, is located adjacent to Eastview Mall in the Valentown Historic District, in the Town of Victor.  The property and surrounding area is home to cobblestone structures and other buildings of historic significance. The challenge for this project was to honor the unique existing features of the area while accounting for key development issues including traffic, compatibility with the surrounding uses, drainage and aesthetics.  The unique “asterisk” shaped building minimizes the perceived size of the structure, while allowing a substantial amount of retail floor space. The project also includes parking, sidewalks, utilities, stormwater management facilities, lighting, and landscaping improvements.
